Photographs from the GIVING BACK PROJECT, a civic engagement initiative of New Generation of African American Philanthropists to reframe portraits of philanthropy. The project produced Giving Back, a 392-page hardcover book of stories and photography that celebrate traditions of Black generosity. The multimedia exhibit The Soul of Philanthropy also emerged from the project and is now touring museums and colleges across the country.
