In a letter to the church at Phillipi, the apostle, Paul, wrote these words, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” Valaida, I feel the reason he could make such a bold command is not that he had confidence that his fellow brethren could simply make a willful declaration to dismiss worry from their menu but, moreso, he knew that their confidence in God, and the plans He had for them, could push all worries to the side in order that they may stay focused on the goal.
I say that to say this. Let the excitement continue to overflow, take blessed moments to bask in the wonder of it all but be anxious for NOTHING. This book is destined to change the perspective and, ultimately, the lives of everyone who reads it and I, for one, am excitedly anticipating not only having this as the new centerpiece on my coffee table (move over “Yes We Can”) but allowing the contents to inspire and encourage me to make “giving back” the centerpiece of my life.
I honor you for the sacrifices you made to bring this visioin to fruition. You’re going to touch lives in ways you never imagined.
